Car Hire Basics
If you happen to be renting a car in Europe, insurance is a fundamental requirement when driving abroad. In addition when visting Europe, the EC felt it mandatory that someone from from another country carried the E111. More recently, the requirement has been updated with the invention of EHIC (European Health Insurance Card). If a person carries this card, it may entitle them to free or reduced rates of medical care. Please note, this only applies to Europeans in Europe and no other party. |
